I think . . .
That this poem means that the person is independent and you can see this in the last line when it says, "And I don't need you for anything". Meaning that they can do anything and everything on their own, making them a above and beyond person.

That this poem is about someone who is unique in their own way.  Different in every aspect, better yet they are above and beyond.  You can tell that they are different because of mostly the last stanza when it says, "born to be unique, do what you want to do".
